Hello! I’m Allison Archer and my pronouns are she/her. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I am licensed in North Carolina as of this year and have been licensed in Washington state and been a Nationally Certified Counselor since 2017. I am originally from North Carolina and earned my Master of Science in Counselor Education from East Carolina University.
I believe the therapeutic alliance between a client and clinician can be a place for peace, healing, and safety. It can provide a time and place for you to process thoughts, feelings, and experiences related to the unpredictable world that we live in. As we work together we will build therapeutic goals to help focus our work together. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is key to assisting you in reaching your goals whether it be healing, dealing with stress, or learning to accept yourself.
I utilize an eclectic approach with a person-centered core to tailor my approach to meet you where you are and to build a strong therapeutic relationship. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Expressive Art techniques, mindfulness, and play therapy techniques.
I have experience working with children, teens, and adults individually through teletherapy. I have experience working with neurodivergent individuals of all ages.
